Save at the Pump with Cadillac

If you're ready to reduce your carbon footprint or find ways to save more money this year, fuel consumption is one of the best places to start. Cadillac has engineered the models in its lineup to offer outstanding fuel-saving features. From hybrid powertrains to aerodynamic designs, Cadillac keeps the environment—and your wallet—in mind.
Variable Valve Timing
Cadillac’s variable valve timing technology is used in many engine options to increase performance as well as fuel economy and efficiency. It works by altering the timing of the valves by shifting the phase angle of the camshaft. If that sounds like a bunch of jargon you don’t really care about, just know that VVT equals better efficiency. This technology is used throughout the Cadillac lineup on most models.
Turbo Powertrains
Much like variable valve timing can improve efficiency, so can turbochargers. The application of turbochargers may have started with the desire for faster vehicles, but it has an extra benefit. By using a turbocharger, Cadillac can use a smaller engine with less horsepower without creating a vehicle that feels sluggish. Small turbos provide the power you need to merge onto highways or pass another car but don’t drink fuel when you’re just driving normally. A great example is the CT4 equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. With 237 horsepower, you might expect this car to be expensive at the pump but the premium sedan still achieves 34 mpg on the highway.*
Electrified Performance
For 2023, Cadillac has released its first fully-electric SUV. The Cadillac Lyriq is offering drivers a dynamic model built for many different drivers. This remarkable SUV will over drivers over 300 miles in all-electric range, paired with Cadillac styling, and unbeatable luxury. We're excited to see what else Cadillac is going to bring to the market in terms of electrified powertrains in the future.
